Carisbrooke’s Fleet Operation Centre achieves savings in 2022

Following the success of our Fleet Operation Centre in reducing the emissions in 2022 (751 tonnes of CO2 saved as well as 237MT of fuel and $213.5K in costs) we have worked together with Wartsila Voyage to share the good news. We had filming crew attending Kitty C in Sheerness in December 2022 and today the story has been published on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7026471087810961408 .

Since implementing Wärtsilä’s Fleet Optimisation Solution (FOS) in 2019 has been using the platform to gather insights that have supported our objectives around reducing carbon emissions and ensuring fleet performance, which is core to the company’s strategy.

It will be followed up with the insights from Carisbrooke’s Fleet Operations Centre into how FOS, together with the high-frequency data received from the onboard sensors and expert advice from Carisbrooke’s Marine and Operations team, helps to balance and prioritise measures with vessel safety, voyage optimisation and fuel use and we will be looking forward to Wartsila’s visit to our office in the coming months.

In addition, we have entered prestigious Maritime UK Awards in Clean Maritime Enabler and Clean Maritime Operator categories and looking forward to Monday, 06th February to find out if we made it to the finals!
